The Model 940 has been a popular knife for Benchmade. The slim profile and light carry weight have made it the perfect EDC. It has previously been made with green anodized aluminum handle sides and with carbon fiber handle sides. Benchmade recently created this new version with black G-10 handle sides and green anodized barrel spacers.
The 3-3⁄8" modified reverse tanto blade is CPM-S30V stainless at 58-60 Rc. with dual thumb studs for easy ambidextrous opening and bronze bushings for easy blade movement. The blade is available in either a plain edge or combo edge. A stainless steel "leaf" is inset into each of the G10 handle sides to support Benchmade's Axis locking system, which was designed by custom knifemakers Bill McHenry and Jason Williams. Includes a reversible stainless steel pocket clip positioned for tip up carry. Measures 4-1⁄2" closed. Weighs 2.4 oz. Made in the U.S.A.
