Order Details

The original Pilar was introduced in 2017, the larger version then came out in 2019. For 2021 a new version with a spear point blade has been released.

Jesper Voxnaes designed the Pilar® family in his Logstrup, Denmark shop, and named it after Ernest Hemingway's beloved boat—the 38-foot long vessel that he used for renegade surveillance of German U-boats during WWII in Caribbean waters. The world-famous author was also a WWI combat vet, big-game hunter, sailor, and fisherman, and certainly would have selected an everyday knife companion like the Pilar® for his daily endeavors.

The 3" modified spearpoint blade is 8Cr13MoV stainless at 58-60 Rc. with a fine satin finish. The handle has a G-10 front and a stainless steel back scale. It is deployed with a thumb slot opening and is secured with a frame-lock. Measures 4-1/4" closed. Weighs 3.6 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail is $64.99.
