Behring Made Boot Knife
Item #: JAB-BK818DI
$725.00
Limited to a Maxium of 100
A.G. met young James Behring at the 2016 Blade Show in Atlanta. At that show he arranged for Behring Knives to make a Stag handled small pocket hunter with a leather sheath that clipped to the top of the pocket. They made a total of 100 for A.G. Russell Knives. We followed that knife with a drop point hunter, which we first offered in the middle of 2017.
At the Blade Show in 2023, James and I discussed another knife. I selected this beautiful boot knife with a Desert Ironwood handle and Mammoth Ivory, Copper and black fiber spacers at the guard. The handle is held to the narrow tang with a copper pin. The blade is blued 80CrV2 non-stainless high carbon steel. The understated guard that separates the handle from the blade is blued carbon steel. Measures 8-3/8" overall. Ships with a Black Tooled Pouch style sheath with Copper Rivets and a Black Metal Boot Clip. A snapped strap retains the knife in the sheath. Proudly hand forged and finished (including the sheath) in Montana, U.S.A.

Behring Made
A. G. knew knifemaker Jim Behring for many years and met his son several years ago at the Blade® Show. At the 2016 Blade Show, I learned that James, the son, had set up his own shop in Montana and has branded his knives Behring Made.
