$63.95
Several times a year W. R. Case and Sons® releases what they call a seasonal introduction. Usually these are knives that do not go into their main lineup and have a limited life. These folders with smooth red synthetic handle scales were introduced as part of the Fall 2024 releases. The knives in this family all have smooth red synthetic handle scales with a bright white oval long tail Case shield. The bolsters are nickel silver. The liners and pins are brass. The blades are mirror polished Tru-Sharp™ surgical stainless at 54-57 Rc. Both knives are slip joints; blades do not lock. Made in the U.S.A.
The Muskrat is also known as a double-ended Trapper, with two long turkish clip blades at opposing ends. Originally designed for those who trapped and skinned muskrats, it is good for skinning any small fur-bearing animal. Both blades measure 2-7/8" in length. Measures 3-7/8" closed. Weighs 2.3 oz. Suggested retail is $91.00.
The Baby Butterbean is sometimes called a Baby Canoe because when the blades are closed it has the shape of a traditional American canoe. The two blades are a 2" spearpoint blade and a 1-1/2" pen blade. Measures 2-3/4" closed. Weighs 1.3 oz. Suggested retail is $83.50.

Case Knives
W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is an American manufacturer of traditional pocket knives, limited edition commemoratives and collectibles. It makes American made traditional pocket knives in a variety of patterns, blade styles, and handle materials. They are particularly well known for their specialized dying process - creating beautiful and colorful bone handles. Case prefers to use their proprietary Tru-Sharp stainless steel. Tru-Sharp sharpens and polishes easily and is enjoyed by collectors all over.
The roots of the company span all the way back to 1889. W.,R. Case & Sons notably made knives in World War 1, notably the M3 Fighting Knife for servicemen and the V-42 stiletto for the Devil’s Brigade. They also made knives for NASA astronauts for when they touched back down on earth and were waiting to be picked up. The Case Company is currently owned by the Zippo Manufacturing Company, based in the same city, which is well known for their Zippo lighters. You can see great synergy between the companies as they share equipment and expertise like inlaid dyed bone handles and laser engraving machinery.
