Since the release of the original Squid folder, designed by Lucas Burnley, CRKT has released several versions. This popular knife is a great everyday carry folder. Burnley was able to give it a good balance of tip strength and point geometry for utility tasks, packing all the functionality of a full-size tactical folder, into an easy to carry, compact design. This version is the same size as the original model makes use of a button lock instead of the frame lock.
The Squid folder is an everyday carry knife. The black oxide finished D2 blade provides excellent edge retention, deploying smoothly thanks to an easy-to-access thumb stud paired with IKBS™ ball bearings in the pivot. The micarta handle can take a beating and offers a grip you can count on, no matter the conditions.
The 2-1/4" drop point blade is made of D2 steel with a black oxide coated finish and has hardness of 60-62 Rc. The handle scales are made with blue micarta. Button Lock. Black oxide coated stainless steel liners. The single position pocket clip is in the tip-up right hand carry position. Closed length is 3-3/8". Weighs 2.8 oz. Made in China. Suggested Retail $60.00.
