When A.G. handled the prototype of the original Provoke, he was impressed with the functionality. The opening mechanism is innovative and futuristic. Nudge the upper crossbar with your thumb while the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle, and the blade slides open and locks in place. Shift the discrete lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retreats into its closed position. You will love the challenge and the practice it takes to operate the knife smoothly. Once practiced, it is impressive.
This version of the Provoke is built with black coated aluminum handle—a strong, lightweight, engineered thermoplastic—it's more lightweight, adept, and crafted to go anywhere. The blade has a black Titanium Nitride coating.
The Provoke® EDC features a new drop point plain-edge blade made from D2 steel for excellent edge retention and a lightweight aluminum handle that allows it to ride comfortably in a pocket with the nearly flush pocket clip that’s activated with a light press of the thumb. The drop point blade measures 2-1/2" of D2 blade steel at 60-62 Rc. with satin finish. Measures 4-5/8" closed. Weighs 3.4 oz. Made in Taiwan. Suggested retail $175.00.
