The Lil' Native takes the highly refined ergonomics of the best-selling Native® 5 and scales them down into an even handier, more compact package. In form, it is practically identical to its inspiration, but approximately 15 percent smaller overall. However, thanks to its ergonomic design and index-finger choil, it still provides a generous four-finger grip that allows it to perform with the authority of a full-sized knife.

Instead of the typical teardrop shaped blade this model comes with a very handy wharncliffe blade. A very useful blade from the 19th century that has a thick at the back for strength, tapering to a fine point and edge. This knife's blade is precision machined from CPM® S30V® particle metallurgy stainless steel. Full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry, the matte-finished blade also features a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole; that allows quick, positive, one-handed opening with either hand.

The blade is paired with a lightweight, open backed handle construction that has nested stainless steel liners, and a sturdy Compression Lock mechanism. The handle is made of textured black G-10. This expression of the Lil' Native design offers ambidextrous carry and operation and is ideal for both left and right-handed users. The wharncliffe blade measures 2-1/2" and has a satin finish. The steel has a hardness of 58-60 Rc. The wire pocket clip is in the tip-up postion and is reversible for left or right-hand carry. The closed length measures 3-1/2". Weighs 2.5 oz. Made in the U.S.A. Suggested Retail $215.00.

Spyderco

In 1981, Spyderco ventured into the world of knife making by introducing their first folding knife, the C01 Worker. This knife was the first in the industry to feature a round hole in the blade design that allowed for fast, one-hand opening, now the company’s trademark, and the first to feature a pocket clip. The trademarked round hole is the most recognizable feature of a Spyderco knife and it facilitates the easy opening and closing of these knives with one hand while also offering convenient access and maximum control while opening as well as accommodating large, small or gloved hands.

Spyderco’s recognizable appearance is a result of designing ergonomically functional tools rather than applying lipstick and nylons to a pocketknife. Spyderco’s knives may look unusual, but they will never be called unusable or undependable. When you purchase a Spyderco knife, you are buying a high quality reliable cutting tool that was designed and manufactured for peak performance and ergonomic comfort.
