In an effort to bring military history to life, Boker has introduced a folder with a unique Damascus blade made of steel from the Mauser carbine barrel. The world famous 98k Carbine was introduced in 1935 and remained the most widely used infantry rifle by German soldiers until the end of WWII in 1945. The Damascus is hand forged by Chad Nichols in his "Ripple" pattern. The walnut handle scales are grooved in a similar pattern as the handle scales on the bayonet that was a part of the 98k.
The 3-3/8" clip point blade is made of the 80 layer Damascus at about 58 Rc. Measures 4-3/8" closed. Handmade in the Boker knife factory in Solingen, Germany. Includes a floating display, Certificate of Authenticity and are individually serial numbered. Suggested retail is $511.00.
