The Crossbill is part of Spyderco's Byrd line which is synonymous with the stringent quality requirements, high performance materials and manufacturing, which go into every knife. Like the actual bird, the Crossbill is highly adaptable with a hawkbill shaped blade that is curved for controlled pulling cuts. The blade shape holds rope, line, webbing and netting against the sharpened edge, keeping it from slipping off the tip. The hollow-ground blade is manufactured using 8Cr13Mov stainless steel which enhances the blade's ability to hold a sharp cutting surface and wear less over time and use.
The 3-1/2" 8Cr13Mov stainless steel blades have a hardness at 57-59 Rc. Stainless steel handles measure 4-5/8" closed. Includes a reversible/removable ambidextrous pocket clip for right or left handed carry. Available in either plain or combination edge blade. Weighs 5.6 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail $59.85.
