with Traditional European Styling

Over the past couple of years, we have had a tremendous demand for steak knife sets. In late 2003, we added a steak knife to our own non-forged A. G. Russell ™ Kitchen Knife Set. Since that time we have designed and put into production two new lines of kitchen knives. While the non-forged knives are excellent tools, our customers seem to want a more upscale look. In reaction to that demand we have re-introduced a line of forged kitchen knives with traditional European styling. Of course, we included a knife designed especially as a steak knife; similar to a paring knife, but with a longer, thinner blade.

The blades are a Molybdenum-Vanadium high-carbon stainless that will really hold an edge. The secret of great cutting is not just in the steel, but in the way the blades are ground. These blades are ground VERY thin.

Fiberglass reinforced Polypropylene means the handles are dishwasher safe, but water and detergent driven at high speed will dull your blades and the sharp edges will damage your racks and baskets. We recommend that you never put a sharp knife in a dishwasher or leave them set in a sink full of water.

The 4-7/8" stainless steel blade with an ebony colored Polypropylene handle, looks right at home on your dinner table.

A.G. Russell Knives

From the age of nine I made homemade knives until I was about twenty-four when I began to make handmade knives, crude but no longer made at home. A few years later, I had met and learned from makers like R.W. Loveless and R. L. Dozier. I made knives until the mid 1970s. I don’t make handmade knives anymore, as my hands aren’t what they used to be. However, I do have very talented makers in the United States and Japan who make knives that I am proud to put my name on. I design pocketknives, one hand knives, lockbacks, and fixed blade knives and have them made to our standards. ~A.G. Russell III

A.G. Russell has been in the knives and whetstones business for over 50 years. A.G. Russell knives are well known for their quality. A.G. Russell knives tend to be more traditional in style and look, with modern advances in material and design to create excellent knives.
