Boker 1969 Mach-1 Damascus
Item #: BO-1102DAM
$483.95
During the muscle car craze, Ford made a bold statement with the introduction of the Mustang Mach-1. The first-generation 1969 Mach-1 was only available as a fastback version and had a number of visual and performance differences from the standard Mustang. Over the years, the Mustang has become a key example of the muscle car.
Boker brings that first-generation back to life with 1969 Mach-1 Damast folder. Parts of the wheel hub, wishbone and suspension were used in the Damascus blade. The Silver Jade color of the aluminum handle is "painted" on, similar to how car manufacturers paint their cars. The color is the same as what was on the original Mach-1. The handle sides are lightweight, high-strength aluminum, reminiscent of the wings of the muscle car. The gold-colored inlay in the obverse handle side echoes the side trim of the door.
The 3-1/4" drop point blade is Chad Nichols' 84-layer Damascus in his "Wavepool" pattern. The Pivot screw was inspired by the wheel rims often found on muscle cars. The blade locks in the open position with a liner style lock. The tip-up single position pocket clip is milled from a solid piece of steel and is reminiscent of the door handles of the Ford Mustang. Measures 4-1/2" closed. Weighs 4.0 oz. Handmade in Solingen, Germany. Suggested retail is $569.00.
