The Barlow style folder can be traced back to English pocketknives from the 17th Century. The traditional Barlow is easily recognized by the extra long bolster with the blade pivot at the bolster end of the knife handle. The Boker® BRLW Meteorite takes that traditional model and adds a modern flair. The all titanium handle is precision-milled to give the suggestion of the extra-long bolster of the classic Barlow. The area that would normally house the handle scale is milled to have the characteristic texture of a meteorite.
A discreetly integrated frame-lock holds the blade in the open position and the low profile flipper disappears completely when the blade is open. The 2-1/2" clip point blade is hand-forged non-stainless meteorite Damascus, a composite of a real iron meteorite and a carbon steel in a pattern created by Chad Nichols called "Mosaic Crossed Damascus Pattern".
A single-position milled pocket clip is positioned for a tip-up carry. A lanyard hole in the butt end of the handle provides additional carry options. Measures 3-1/2" closed. Weighs 2.8 oz. Includes a floating display case for storage. Handmade in Solingen, Germany (marked on the spine of the blade). Suggested retail is $669.00.
