The Bark Beetle was designed by Hungarian knifemaker Sándor Hegyes, who specializes in practical and no-frills outdoor knives that are meant for tough use. Boker's version is suitable for both the outdoors and everyday use. Named for the tiny bark beetle, which has been an indispensable part of the forest ecosystem for many millions of years.

The 3-5⁄8" blade is 1095 carbon steel (not stainless) at 56-59 Rc. with a fine bead blast finish. Built using sturdy full tang construction with handle scales of olive green canvas Micarta. The brass colored hollow rivets in the handle not only reduce the weight, but also allow for the attachment of a safety strap. A high quality black leather sheath, that can be worn comfortably on the belt, is included. Measures 8-1⁄8" overall. Weighs 4.6 oz. Suggested retail is $78.95. Made in China.
