Every year Buck releases a few knives in short runs with premium materials as part of their Legacy Series. As part of the 2024 Series, they have chosen their 402 Akonua fixed blade. These are built in their custom shop using high quality materials that are different than those used in the standard model. It has an exposed full tang with a satin finished blade. The handle scales are black burlap Micarta with red liners and a nickel silver single guard. As with the other 2024 Legacy knives, these are limited to what is produced during this calendar year.
The 5" curved skinner blade is CPM-S35VN stainless at 59-61 Rc. Reverse side of the blade is marked "2024 Limited Edition". Measures 10" overall. Weighs 8.9 oz. Includes a black distressed leather sheath with rivets and a Certificate of Authenticity. Made in the U.S.A. Suggested retail is $560.00.
