CRKT HZ6
Item #: CL-2927
$125.00
Knifemaker James Williams pays tribute to the hira-zukuri—a classical Japanese straight sword. Hailing from the 8th century, the original hira-zukuri style blade was first popularized in daggers and utilized as a powerful "short" sword for survival and everyday use. Just like its origin, the HZ6 is purpose-built for real life warriors, designed to meet the demands of the modern world.
Even the knife's G-10 handle shows Japanese influence. The carved Xs represent the traditional wrapping of a sword handle. It's not just for aesthetic purposes. The design provides a good strong grip for cold, wet, gloved or gloveless hands. Paired with a well-fitted Boltaron sheath with multiple carry options. An excellent choice for combat or tactical defense.
The 6-1/2" straight edge blade is constructed of tough SK-5 carbon steel at 57-58 Rc., with a protective coating to diminish rust and corrosion for use in rough, wet weather. Measures 11-1/4" overall. Weighs 8.4 oz. Made in Taiwan. Suggested retail is $150.00.
