CRKT has made a new version of their very popular Homefront model. Designed by Ken Onion, the original featured the Field Strip technology. This version instead is an assisted opening knife with a smooth IKBS ball bearing pivot system. The bayonet lug-style flipper initiates a smooth opening action as the tank jimping on the backspacer sits snugly against the palm of your hand. The larger than average 3-1/2" modified drop point blade is Sandvik 12C27™ stainless at 59-61 Rc., and makes for a great work blade. The handles are a lightweight but solid feeling 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum in an olive drab color. Locks with a liner style lock. Measures 4-3/4" closed and weighs 4.8 oz. Suggested retail $135.00. Made in Taiwan.
