The CRKT Fossil, designed by Brazilian knife designer Flavio Ikoma, has features not typically found in a production knife. From the hammered finish, stainless steel frame and the matching textured brown and black G-10 overlay to the IKBS ball bearing system, it is a testament to both CRKT's insistence on quality and Flavio's flair for design. Flavio developed the IKBS ball bearing system to be entirely racerless, the bearings run in channels machined into the blade and frame. But in this case, CRKT has incorporated a stainless steel race/bushing in the aluminum frame for long life. A spring-loaded ball detent keeps the blade secure in the closed position. A quick flick of the flipper yields instant opening and lock-up.

Available in two sizes, the fossil features drop point blades of 8Cr13MoV at 58-60 Rc. Each has a removable pocket clip positioned for tip up carry and are all framelocks. Made in China.
