The M16® series is the most popular CRKT has ever developed. The late Kit Carson designed this and many of his other groundbreaking knives in his shop in Vine Grove, Kentucky. Kit's lasting legacy comes from his influence on the knife industry—he's known for popularizing the flipper, which is now a household component. He is also remembered for his service in the U.S. Military, retiring as Master Sergeant, and as a member of the Cutlery Hall of Fame. The M16-03B maintains the popular aspects of Kit's original tactically-inspired everyday carry folding knife. With its hardy frame lock, the blade is securely held in place in the midst of whatever job you put in front of it. The stainless steel handle sides are penetrated with multiple holes which keep it light weight and gives a distinctive look.
The 3-5⁄8" spearpoint plain edge blade is 12C27 Sandvik at 59-61 Rc. Available with either a bead blasted or a black oxide finish blade. The handle is stainless steel with a bronze colored coating. The pocket clip is removable/reversible for a left hand or right hand tip-up or tip-down carry. Measures 4-5⁄8" closed. Weighs 3.7 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail is $69.99.
