This evolution of a knife made originally for SpaceX to commemorate a rocket launch was designed by Darriel Caston. The MinimalX™ is all about fitting as much strength and durability into as small a package as possible, for a capable everyday carry you can take anywhere - even to outer space.
For exceptional edge retention, the blade is made from 12C27 steel. The modified tanto blade measures 2" and has a hardness of 59-61 Rc. The no-nonsense design has just a hint of flair in the satin-finish blade inspired by Japanese katanas. IKBS™ ball bearing pivot helps to deploy the blade smoothly. The sturdy frame lock is integrated directly into the stainless steel handle. The deep carry pocket clip is positioned for a tip-up carry.
Measuring at 3" closed, the MinimalX weighs only 2.5 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail is $79.99.
