CRKT Pilar III
Item #: CL-5317BN
$59.95
The Pilar® was designed by Jesper Voxnaes, who named it after Ernest Hemingway's beloved boat—the 38-foot long vessel that he used for renegade surveillance of German U-boats in Caribbean waters during WWII. The Pilar family has grown to include several reiterations of the popular folder. The Pilar III is the spearpoint version, currently selling with three blade steel options: 12C27, 8Cr13MoV or D2.
This version of the Pilar III comes with D2 blade steel transforming the minimalist’s sailor tool into a distinctly urban everyday carry folding knife. The Earth Brown G10 handle contributes to the knife’s understated looks and provides exceptional grip.
The 3" modified spearpoint blade is D2 with a hardness of 60-62 Rc. with a black stonewashed finish. The handle has a earth brown G-10 front and a black stonewashed finished stainless steel back scale. It is deployed with a thumb slot opening and is secured with a frame-lock. Measures 4-1/4" closed. Weighs 3.5 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail is $89.99.
