The Provoke® Trainer is a unique version of our morphing karambit designed to give you an edge where no innovation or specialized material can: practice. With its unsharpened blade, the Trainer lets you familiarize yourself with a karambit with reduced risk, perfect for first responders who need to know their tools like the back of their hands before going into high-pressure situations. Otherwise, the Trainer is every bit a Provoke®, with the same innovative Kinematic® technology to keep the blade neatly and safely tucked away until needed.
When A.G. handled the prototype of the original Provoke, he was impressed with the functionality. It is modeled after a traditional Karambit with an oxide coated hawksbill-style blade. The opening mechanism is innovative and futuristic. Nudge the upper crossbar with your thumb while the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle, and the blade slides open and locks in place. Shift the discrete lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retreats into its closed position. You will love the challenge and the practice it takes to operate the knife smoothly. Once practiced, it is impressive.
This version of the Provoke is built with a Blue colored Grivory® handle—a strong, lightweight, engineered thermoplastic—it's more lightweight, adept, and crafted to go anywhere.
The Provoke has a 2-3/8" Karambit style blade of 420J2 blade steel at 48-52 Rc. with a stonewashed finish. Measures 4-7/8" closed and 7" open. Weighs 4.9 oz. Suggested retail $120.00. Made in Taiwan.
