Since the release of the original Squid folder, designed by Lucas Burnley, CRKT has released several versions. This popular knife is a great everyday carry folder. Burnley was able to give it a good balance of tip strength and point geometry for utility tasks, packing all the functionality of a full-size tactical folder, into an easy to carry, compact design. This version is the same size as the original model makes use of a button lock instead of the frame lock.
The Squid folder is an everyday carry knife. The stonewashed 14C28N blade provides excellent edge retention, deploying smoothly thanks to an easy-to-access thumb stud paired with IKBS™ ball bearings in the pivot. The G10 handle can take a beating and offers a grip you can count on, no matter the conditions.
The 2-1/4" drop point blade is made of 14C28N stanless steel with a stonewashed finish and has hardness of 60-62 Rc. The handle scales are made with pink G-10. Button Lock. Stonewashed finished stainless steel liners. The single position pocket clip is in the tip-up right hand carry position. Closed length is 3-3/8". Weighs 2.7 oz. Made in China.
