Blue Denim Canvas Laminate & Smooth Natural Bone
Every year Case® chooses a knife pattern that they will bring out of the vault. They produce that pattern in several handle materials, after the year is over they return the pattern to the vault and will not produce it again for a number of years. This is called the Case® XX Vault® program. The knife pattern brought out of the Vault in 2024 is the Razor. This knife pattern reminds one of a Barlow with the elongated bolster, creating a timeless look and feel. The main blade has a distinctive "hook" at the tip which allows it to be opened one-handed.
We have chosen two handle materials that really complement each other, the Smooth Natural Bone and Blue Denim Canvas Laminate – a brand new material for Case. The creamy off-white color of the Smooth Natural Bone and the Blue Denim Laminate are great complements to the nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. Both versions have mirror polished Tru-Sharp™ surgical steel blades at 54-57 Rc.
The two blades are a 3" razor/one hand blade and a 2-1/4" pen blade. Measures 3-7/8" closed. The Natural Bone weighs 3.5 oz, the Blue Denim Canvas weighs 3.3 oz. Made in the U.S.A. Suggested retail is $105.50 for the Natural Bone and $102.50 for the Denim Canvas.

Case Knives
W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is an American manufacturer of traditional pocket knives, limited edition commemoratives and collectibles. It makes American made traditional pocket knives in a variety of patterns, blade styles, and handle materials. They are particularly well known for their specialized dying process - creating beautiful and colorful bone handles. Case prefers to use their proprietary Tru-Sharp stainless steel. Tru-Sharp sharpens and polishes easily and is enjoyed by collectors all over.
The roots of the company span all the way back to 1889. W.,R. Case & Sons notably made knives in World War 1, notably the M3 Fighting Knife for servicemen and the V-42 stiletto for the Devil’s Brigade. They also made knives for NASA astronauts for when they touched back down on earth and were waiting to be picked up. The Case Company is currently owned by the Zippo Manufacturing Company, based in the same city, which is well known for their Zippo lighters. You can see great synergy between the companies as they share equipment and expertise like inlaid dyed bone handles and laser engraving machinery.
