KAI Shun Classic Kitchen Knives
Item #: KE-DM0716
$109.95
This stunningly beautiful line of classic cutlery features the look and benefits of Damascus steel, yet without its rusting problems.
Damascus steel has been in use for many centuries, but rarely in kitchen knives. This Damascus is laminated with a center core of VG-10, a Vanadium, Cobalt, Molybdenum, high quality stainless knife steel at 61 Rc. That core is then laminated with 32 layers (16 on each side) of 410+nickel stainless producing a stainless Damascus.
The bolsters and butt cap are stainless. The handles are black laminated PakkaWood® with a uniquely stable "D" shape handle design that rests precisely in the curve of the fingers as they curl around the handle. The asymmetrical bolster is ground out more on the right side to provide proper finger placement and an easy, secure grip. The black PakkaWood® handles provide the beauty of genuine wood, but - since the wood is impregnated with a waterproof resin - the handles are as durable as plastic. NSF approved. Individual knives are Gift Boxed.
