Maserin Turtle with Horn
Item #: MAS-433BHDA
$215.00
Designed by Claudio Volapto
We have offered a version of the Turtle since 2012. It is small and elegant and has been very popular with A.G. Russell customers. At the Blade Show in 2025, I asked Maserin® to produce this same knife with scales made from cattle horn. This is a natural material, which means each one will be unique. When these recently delivered, the color of the horn ranged from light to dark and brown to black. We have photographed three knives to give you an idea of the variation in the horn.
This is a small frame-lock with an applied horn scale on both the obverse and the reverse sides of the satin finished stainless frame. Opens and closes easily with one hand. The 1-1⁄2" drop point blade is available in either a bead-blasted N690 stainless or a stainless Damascus . The blue anodized clip on the reverse side of the handle allows for right-handed, tip- down carry. At just 2-1⁄2" closed, the Turtle is just about as P.C. as you can get. Weighs 2.0 oz. Made in Italy.

Maserin Knives
Maserin was established in 1960. The owners, members of the family who founded it, have built this company on the tradition of the artisan blacksmiths who were the reason Maniago became known as the "city of the knives". Maserin ®, and Maniago in general, has modernized their knife making processes using laser, CNC, and other current technology, while maintaining high quality and building on traditional models, many of which they continue to produce. In Maniago, they are responding to the challenge of market globalization by finding ways to keep new generations interested. They continue to exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit, new marketing strategies, and a constant improvement of production standards.
