The Model 1 All Purpose fighting Knife is one of the most popular Randall knives. The standard model has a 7" blade of 1⁄4" thick 0-1 high-carbon steel (non-stainless) and a black linen Micarta® handle, double nickel silver hilt, a red, white and blue fiber spacer arrangement and a duralumin butt cap. Measures 11-3⁄4" tip to butt and weighs 10.4 oz. Includes a type A leather sheath with an India Stone in a pocket on the front of the sheath. Made in the Randall shop in Florida.

We always have a good quantity on hand of any Randall knife we offer when we create the mailing, but often orders run us out of stock quickly. If our stock is depleted, and we have none on order with the Randall shop, delivery can take up to six or seven months. If you order directly from Randall, the price will be lower but the wait can take up to five years. To become a Randall dealer, we had to do the waiting up front. We now have standing orders with the shop and accumulate knives before offering them in our catalog.

Due to Randall's high volume of orders, if A.G. Russell Knives does not have this knife ordered delivery is currently taking about 10 months. If ordered directly from Randall the wait is currently about 6 years.

Randall Made Knives

For over 75 years, Randall knives have been the best-known handmade knives in the world. No two Randall Made™ knives are exactly alike, for no jigs or patterns are used in their final construction. Large-scale commercial production with this kind of attention to detail is not feasible and that's why knives of this unique quality are not widely available.

Gary Randall, the present owner, took over from his father, W. D. "Bo" Randall, in the mid 1970's and the shop remains so busy that today it takes over five years to get a knife directly from them. We are one of the few authorized Randall dealers, and try to keep a stock of their knives. Because our orders with Randall are booked years in advance, if we don't have the knife that you want in stock, we can usually have it for you about 10 months, knives with stag will take a year or more. For anyone wanting to order directly from Randall the price will be lower but the wait will be extremely long.
