Order Details

We have been selling Randall knives for a number of years and are one of their top dealers. We carry a lot of different models and while we have special ordered the Yukon Skinner for customers, we have never made it a part of what we try to keep in stock.

We placed orders for these two versions of the Yukon Skinner months ago and have just now accumulated enough to be able to offer them. While we are one of only two or three Randall dealers to receive seventy-five knives a month, because of orders for other knives already placed, it typically takes months to accumulate inventory of additional new models.

Randall's Model 20 Yukon Skinner is an adaptation of the Model 4 especially designed for big game purposes by Ward Gay, a famous Alaskan bush pilot. It has a 4-1⁄2" upswept skinner style blade of O-1 tool steel  (non-stainless) at 56-57 Rc. with notches on the top of the blade near the hilt for thumb placement. The available handles are black Micarta® with a brass hilt and red, white and black spacers, and stacked leather with brass hilt, red, white and black spacers, and a duralumin butt cap. Both have a green paracord lanyard and loop on the sheath. Measures 9-1⁄4" overall and weighs 6.7 oz. for stacked leather and 6.0 oz. for black Micarta®. Ships with a brown leather Model A sheath with a traditional sharpening stone in the front pouch. Handmade in Randall's shop in Orlando, Florida.

(8-2024) Due to Randall's high volume of orders, if not on our shelves when you order, delivery of Randall knives ordered from A. G. Russell is currently taking 10-12 months. If ordered directly from Randall the wait is currently about 6 years.

Randall Made Knives

For over 75 years, Randall knives have been the best-known handmade knives in the world. No two Randall Made™ knives are exactly alike, for no jigs or patterns are used in their final construction. Large-scale commercial production with this kind of attention to detail is not feasible and that's why knives of this unique quality are not widely available.

Gary Randall, the present owner, took over from his father, W. D. "Bo" Randall, in the mid 1970's and the shop remains so busy that today it takes over five years to get a knife directly from them. We are one of the few authorized Randall dealers, and try to keep a stock of their knives. Because our orders with Randall are booked years in advance, if we don't have the knife that you want in stock, we can usually have it for you about 10 months, knives with stag will take a year or more. For anyone wanting to order directly from Randall the price will be lower but the wait will be extremely long.
