Randy Lee Dagger w/ Thuya Wood Handle
Item #: RLK-D578TW
$1,325.00
The dagger that Randy Lee began making for A.G. Russell knives toward the end of 2021 had faux ivory for the largest portion of the handle. A little over a year ago, I asked Randy to make six of his narrow tang daggers for us with the idea that I would choose one for the A.G. Russell catalog and the other 5 we would sell through The Cutting Edge®. The faux ivory handled dagger was very popular, so much so that I have asked Randy to make the same dagger with Thuya wood.
The 6" dagger blade is CPM-154 stainless at 59-60 Rc. with a high mirror polish. It measures right at 1" wide at the widest point. The handle is Thuya wood with spacers of pinecone in resin and black micarta, separated with thin washers of black fiber, red fiber and nickel silver. The guard and butt are nickel silver. Measures 11" tip to butt. Weighs 9.5 oz. Includes a hand tooled brown leather sheath made by Randy's wife Sonja. All handmade in the U.S.A.

Randy Lee
Randy made his first knife in a high school shop class. He remained fascinated and years later, after studying with local makers, he decided to get serious and buy the proper equipment; this was 1979. It was 1988, however, before he attended his first knife show. Since then he attends about six shows a year. A serious hunter, Randy field tests all of his designs. He wants them to work as well as they look. He is fortunate to have a wife who can make and decorate such fine sheaths. His sheaths are definitely a step above what is typical on knives of this price level.
