Sam Roddy is an impressive young man. He is a relatively new knifemaker who decided in 2022 that there should be a Custom Knife Show in Northwest Arkansas. He and his wife Bridgette are the organizers of the Natural State Knife Show here in Rogers.
Sam started making knives as a hobby and had the good fortune to connect with Northwest Arkansas knifemaker Keith Murr. Keith allowed him to work and and learn in his shop. Sam is now a full time knifemaker with his own fully equipped knife shop. He makes quality Hunting and Every-Day-Carry knives. He also makes High Carbon Damascus for his own use, and for other knifemakers.
This is a hunter which I asked Sam to make for A.G. Russell Knives using handle materials which we provide. The 3-3/8" drop point blade is 80CrV2 High Carbon steel at 58-59 Rc. (We recommend A.G. Russell Rust Free - RF125 . . . $8.95 to maintain the non-stainless blade.) Comes with Interior Ram's Horn handle scales. The handle scales are attached with Mosaic Pins, adding a bit of elegance. The Ram's Horn is separated from the full tang with a thin layer of red fiber. Measures 7-3/8" tip to butt. Weighs 4.6 oz. Ships with a well fitted brown leather pouch style sheath in the Keith Murr style, handmade by the maker. Proudly handmade in Northwest Arkansas.
