The Bug was the first model of the micro-sized Slip Joint series Spyderco introduced. This folder is the smallest of the series, the Honeybee came next at just a little larger and then the third and largest, the Grasshopper. Like the insects they are named for, their small size belies their impressive cutting power. The Bug is a great addition to your keyring or a perfect necklace knife for the ladies. Despite their diminutive size, they are fully functional, impressively sharp, and, thanks to the Trademark Round Hole in their blades, far easier to open than knives with traditional nail nicks.
The 1-1/4" flat ground blade is Sandvik 12c27 stainless steel at 54-56 Rc. Available only with a Plain Edge. The G-10 comes in either blue or black peel-ply textured scales that provide an enhanced grip. Slipjoint. Measures 1-5/8" closed and weighs a mere 0.3 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail $36.00.
