Based on a design by custom knifemaker Serge Panchenko. This small yet capable folding knife is the size and shape of a military dog tag when closed, hence the name the Dog Tag Folder. The original version was released in 2014, since then there have been 4 different versions to come out.
This version of the Dog Tag features a handle machined from a solid piece of black carbon fiber/G-10 laminate. The blade and all metal hardware have a matching black titanium carbonitride coating. This non-locking folder features a spring bar and ball-bearing detent in the back handle scale to help hold the blade in place while in the open or closed positions.
The blade is made from CPM-S30V Stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 Rc. The 1-1/4" sheepsfoot blade features Spyderco's Trademark Round Hole™ for fingernail-free ease of opening. The closed length measures 2". Weighs 0.9 oz. Made in Taiwan. Suggested Retail $110.00.
